Romain Spitzer Appointed New CEO of Bottega Veneta

On July 15, French luxury group Kering announced the appointment of Romain Spitzer as Chief Executive Officer of its fashion house Bottega Veneta, effective September 1, 2026.

Based in Milan, Spitzer will report directly to Kering Chief Executive Officer Luca de Meo and will also join the Group’s Executive Committee.

From LVMH’s Fragrance Business to Bottega Veneta

Spitzer brings more than 30 years of international experience in the luxury industry, with extensive expertise spanning brand management, retail strategy and client experience.

Most recently, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fragrance Group LVMH Beauty. In the role, he oversaw a portfolio that included Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Acqua di Parma, Loewe Perfumes and Officine Universelle Buly, supporting the long-term growth and brand equity of each House.

The appointment marks a new chapter in Spitzer’s career as he moves from leading a portfolio centered on fragrance and beauty to heading a fashion House whose core business spans ready-to-wear and leather goods.

Bottega Veneta has established a distinctive position within the global luxury market through its exceptional craftsmanship and singular creative identity.

In his new role, Spitzer will focus on further enhancing the House’s desirability, deepening its relationships with clients worldwide and driving retail excellence across markets.

A Career Spanning More Than Three Decades

A graduate of ESCP Business School, Spitzer began his career at Guerlain in 1995 as a Product Manager.

He subsequently held a number of marketing positions at Jean Paul Gaultier Parfums and Yves Saint Laurent Parfums, where he served as International Marketing Director.

In 2006, he joined Parfums Christian Dior as Head of the Fragrance Business Unit. He later held senior operational roles, including General Manager for Spain and Regional General Manager for Europe.

In 2016, Spitzer was appointed President and CEO of LVMH Fragrance Brands, overseeing Parfums Givenchy and Kenzo Parfums. His responsibilities were later expanded to include several additional fragrance Houses and new business ventures.

Throughout his career, Spitzer has worked to preserve brand heritage while translating it for contemporary clients and driving international business growth. At Bottega Veneta, he will be tasked with further strengthening the House’s brand value and retail experience while building on its distinctive identity.
