Jil Sander Names Marco Viganò as New CEO

Italian luxury house Jil Sander, part of the OTB Group, announced on September 15 the appointment of Marco Viganò as its new Chief Executive Officer. Effective the same day, Viganò will report directly to OTB Group CEO Ubaldo Minelli.

Minelli had led Jil Sander on an interim basis during the transition period. Viganò’s appointment establishes a new executive structure alongside the creative direction of Simone Bellotti, who has overseen the Milan-based house since March 2025.

Viganò brings extensive international experience across the luxury industry. Before joining Jil Sander, he served as Global Chief Client Officer and President EMEA at Moncler, where he led client development and customer experience strategies while strengthening the brand’s relationship with its international clientele.

Earlier in his career, Viganò served as Chief Commercial Officer at Audemars Piguet and Chief Operating Officer at Saint Laurent. He also held positions at Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and L’Oréal.

His career has spanned Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Russia, alongside experience at McKinsey & Company. He holds a degree in Economics and Business from Università Cattolica in Milan.

Founded by Jil Sander in 1968, the brand was acquired by OTB Group in 2021. Today, it offers women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories. Its global presence includes approximately 80 stores, its official e-commerce platform, and selected multi-brand retailers.

OTB Group’s portfolio also includes Diesel, Maison Margiela, Marni, and Viktor&Rolf. With Viganò assuming executive leadership, Jil Sander is positioning itself to advance its international growth while further strengthening both its creative and commercial foundations.
