At Home With Kenzo: Nigo Stages the Fall/Winter 2026 Campaign at Kenzo Takada’s Paris Maison

Paris fashion house KENZO has unveiled “At Home With Kenzo,” its Fall/Winter 2026 women’s and men’s campaign. Artistic director Nigo returns to the place at the heart of the brand’s story: La Maison de Kenzo, the Paris residence left behind by founder Kenzo Takada.

The campaign stars actor Lukita Maxwell and actor and pro skater Nico Hiraga, with a pop-up event bringing the collection to Tokyo’s Harajuku district in August.

Inside Kenzo Takada’s “Urban Oasis”

Tucked quietly into Paris’s Bastille district, La Maison de Kenzo was conceived by Kenzo Takada as a place for rest, reflection, creation and celebration. Surrounded by bamboo groves, cherry trees and a pond where koi released by Takada himself still swim, the residence becomes the stage for a campaign exploring two notions of home: the comfort of a place, and the comfort found within oneself.

Reading, Wandering, Parallel Play: A Story Told by the House

Shot by photographer and director Laura Jane Coulson, the campaign follows Maxwell — known for the comedy drama Shrinking and A24’s Backrooms — and Hiraga, who moves between acting, professional skateboarding and modeling, as they drift through the house and garden as if they have always belonged there. Through moments of parallel play — reading, wandering, inventing games, sharing space — a relationship quietly takes shape.

The campaign evokes a way of engaging with the world rooted in curiosity and imagination, finding joy in people, objects and surroundings rather than technology. Long cherished as a site of legendary gatherings and creative exchange, the house itself takes part in the story as an active presence rather than a backdrop, its airy, light-filled spaces inviting openness and exploration.

From a 1994 Organza Skirt to Pankou Details

Key pieces include a contemporary reinterpretation of an embroidered organza skirt from the Spring/Summer 1994 archive, its floral motifs extending into new styles including a men’s jacket worn by Hiraga. The wardrobe also spans tricolor stripes, bold cowboy shirts, two-tone neo-tailoring, classic varsity jackets and unexpected Chinese pankou closure details.

Reinterpreting archival silhouettes and motifs through a contemporary lens, Nigo freely samples the house’s history and a broad range of cultural codes, creating a wardrobe that moves lightly across place, tradition and identity — an embodiment of the dialogue at KENZO’s core, between France and Japan, tradition and reinterpretation, elegance and humor.

A Pop-Up at Harajuku’s GATE in August

From August 6 to 9, 2026, a limited-time pop-up event at GATE in Harajuku, Tokyo (6-5-10 Jingumae, Shibuya; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.) will bring the Fall/Winter 2026 collection to life, offering shopping alongside exclusive content and purchase-with-purchase perks. Details will be announced via KENZO’s official LINE account and website, with contents subject to change.

Translating the story that began in Kenzo Takada’s private world into a contemporary wardrobe, “At Home With Kenzo” offers two homes in which to experience the house’s fall season — a Paris maison and a Harajuku pop-up.
