KHY Steps Into Footwear With GIABORGHINI Collaboration

KHY, the fashion label creatively directed by Kylie Jenner, has unveiled its first footwear collection in partnership with Italian footwear and accessories brand GIABORGHINI.

Marking KHY’s formal entry into the footwear category, the collaboration translates the brand’s minimalist design language into three sharply defined silhouettes. Classic shoe archetypes are reworked through sculptural proportions and a restrained material palette, extending KHY’s wardrobe concept from apparel to complete styling.

Founded in 2023, KHY has built its identity around fit, fabric, and proportion, frequently exploring contrasts between masculine and feminine, polished and undone, and restraint and drama. Its debut shoe collection brings that same perspective to footwear, combining pared-back lines with strong, architectural profiles.

The shoes were developed with GIABORGHINI, founded in 2016 by Florentine designer Barbara Borghini. Handcrafted near Florence, the Italian brand is known for combining traditional artisanal expertise with bold, structurally driven silhouettes.

Each style in the collaboration is made in Italy, with close attention paid to both visual impact and wearability. According to the official release, details such as the positioning of the thong straps went through repeated fittings, with Jenner directly involved throughout the development process. The resulting designs are intended to feel comfortable, easy to walk in, and versatile enough to complement a broad range of looks.

Three Distinct Silhouettes

The Studio Thong is the collection’s most understated design. Conceived as an everyday flat sandal, it strips the classic thong silhouette down to its essential lines. The style will be offered in sleek black leather and high-shine metallic chrome.

The Muse Thong introduces a more architectural approach through a custom KHY wedge mold. Narrowed through the center, the sculptural wedge creates a sharper profile designed to visually elongate the leg. It will be available in black leather, chocolate pony hair, and metallic chrome.

Completing the lineup is the Icon Sandal, a strappy, buckled heel informed by early-2000s aesthetics and space-age modernism. Presented in crisp white leather and metallic chrome, the design offers the collection’s most overtly futuristic statement, with a sculptural form intended to be viewed from every angle.

Across the three styles, the collection centers on four principal material expressions: black leather, white leather, metallic chrome, and chocolate pony hair. The controlled palette places greater emphasis on shape, surface, and proportion, allowing each style to function not as an accessory added at the end, but as an integral part of the complete look.
