A New CEO With a Decade of Experience at Space NK
Space NK has built its reputation by curating innovative beauty brands from around the world and bringing them to customers across the UK and Ireland. Under its new CEO, the retailer aims to build on its longstanding brand relationships while further elevating the customer experience and pursuing its next phase of growth.
Simpson-Scott moves into the top role after serving as Space NK’s Chief Marketing Officer for seven and a half years. In total, she has spent 10 years with the company.
With more than 20 years of experience across luxury retail, brand marketing and customer experience, she has established a strong track record of driving sustainable growth and strengthening brand partnerships. Having helped shape the company’s evolution as a longstanding member of its leadership team, she will now lead Space NK into its next chapter as CEO.
Commenting on her appointment, Simpson-Scott said: “It’s an honour to be appointed CEO of Space NK at such an exciting moment for the business. Having been part of the leadership team for over 10 years, I’ve seen first-hand the passion, expertise and entrepreneurial spirit of our teams, which has been instrumental in evolving Space NK into the business it is today.
“As we look to the future, I’m excited by the opportunities ahead. Space NK has built exceptional relationships with some of the world’s most innovative and in-demand beauty brands. Together with our exceptionally talented teams and brand partners, I look forward to driving continued innovation and growth and creating even more inspiring beauty experiences for our customers.”

Kecia Steelman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ulta Beauty, also commented on Simpson-Scott’s appointment: “Emma is a highly respected retail leader who brings deep customer insight, retail expertise and a passion for building exceptional teams. I am delighted to congratulate Emma on her appointment to Chief Executive Officer and look forward to our continued work together as she leads Space NK into the next chapter of growth.”
Steelman went on to recognize Lightfoot’s contribution to the business: “We wish Andy Lightfoot all the best in his next chapter and gratitude for his ten years of service and all that he has done for Space NK, including joining forces with Ulta Beauty.
“Under his leadership, Space NK has achieved significant growth, strengthened its position as a market-leading beauty retailer, and successfully transitioned into the Ulta Beauty family. His legacy will be felt for many years to come.”
Space NK Refreshes Its Senior Leadership Team
Alongside the CEO transition, Space NK has announced additional appointments across its senior leadership team.
Hannah Quy joins the company this month as Chief Financial Officer, overseeing finance, property and distribution. Tiff Ruis joins from Ulta Beauty as Senior Vice President of Retail and Ecommerce.
Space NK was acquired by US beauty retail giant Ulta Beauty in July 2025 and continues to operate as a standalone subsidiary. The acquisition formed part of Ulta Beauty’s broader international expansion strategy, strengthening its platform for growth across the UK and Ireland. Under its newly appointed leadership team, Space NK will be positioned to draw on Ulta Beauty’s scale, brand network and resources as it accelerates investment in its people and business while further strengthening its presence in luxury beauty retail.
