Alice + Olivia Enters a Modern Wonderland for Spring 2027

On September 10, Stacey Bendet’s Alice + Olivia unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “Welcome to Wonderland,” at 583 Park Avenue in New York.

Celebrating curiosity, imagination, and the freedom to view the world through a new lens, the collection brought together the beauty of past decades and a romantic vision of the future, reimagining the codes of everyday dressing through fantastical details.

“Preppy Couture” Reframes American Sportswear

At the center of the collection was what the brand described as “preppy couture”—a meeting of the relaxed practicality of American sportswear and the intricate embellishment and formality associated with couture.

Tailored blazers, cropped jackets, boxer shorts, and simple T-shirts were elevated through embroidery, beading, feathers, satin jacquards, and romantic lace. Exaggerated proportions and unexpected combinations introduced a sense of fantasy into familiar wardrobe staples.

Boxy jackets appeared alongside micro skirts, structured outerwear contrasted with weightless dresses, and delicate bustiers were paired with wide-leg trousers. Through these opposing silhouettes, Alice + Olivia updated its signature femininity with a freer, more contemporary sense of proportion.

Lace and Florals Build a Fantastical Layered World

Lace emerged as one of the season’s defining materials. Layered with organza, traced with beads and sequins, and applied across dresses, trousers, blouses, and trench coats, it became a recurring thread throughout the collection.

Original floral motifs took on a three-dimensional quality through dense beadwork and hand-painted details. Metallic jacquards, iridescent sequins, and lustrous satin added further depth, allowing light and shadow to shift across the garments as the models moved.

The palette moved through soft pink, lavender, pale blue, yellow, and white, punctuated by saturated colors and graphic patterns. The contrast created the visual impression of entering a dreamlike world.

At the same time, denim, bomber jackets, and T-shirts grounded the collection in American casualwear. These familiar elements kept the fantasy connected to real wardrobes, allowing the pieces to retain an everyday relevance despite their elaborate surfaces.

The Return of Alice + Olivia Shoes

Spring 2027 also marked the anticipated relaunch of Alice + Olivia’s footwear line.

The collection spanned ballet flats, pumps, slingbacks, platforms, and wedges, decorated with florals, crystals, bows, and exaggerated proportions. One particularly striking design featured a sculpted rose blooming from the heel of a stiletto, capturing the season’s romantic sensibility in a single statement piece.

The brand also introduced “DIY Tees,” a personalization concept featuring distressed T-shirts and tanks designed to be cut, twisted, wrapped, and styled by the wearer.

Limited-edition “DIY Couture” pieces extended the idea through embellishment and in-store customization. For Alice + Olivia, a brand long centered on individuality and self-expression, the concept invited the wearer to become part of the design process itself.

An Immersive Journey Between Reality and Imagination

The presentation unfolded through a series of immersive environments at 583 Park Avenue, each translating a different chapter of the collection into physical space.

A garden surrounded a dramatic 20-foot mirrored gown, while “The Princess and the Peony” appeared as a life-sized dollhouse stacked with mattresses. In “Eat Me, Drink Me, Love Me,” objects shifted between miniature and monumental proportions, further distorting the boundaries of scale and perception.

Alice + Olivia also partnered with Glance, the exclusive AI sponsor of the presentation, to create an interactive mirror experience. Guests were invited to virtually try on four looks from the collection, further blurring the line between the real and the imagined.

The beauty direction extended the collection’s dreamlike atmosphere. Parívie by Paris Hilton prepared the models’ skin with a luminous glow, while Youngblood Mineral Cosmetics created shimmering eye looks. TYMO Beauty and amika collaborated on ethereal, goddess-like hair, with nails provided by Dazzle Dry.

Among the guests were Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba, Tiffany Haddish, Nikki Glaser, JoJo, Nicky Hilton, and Kate Walsh. As attendees moved through the Wonderland-inspired installations, the experience was accompanied by a live DJ set from Franny Keller.

Behind the collection’s fantastical embellishment was a broader invitation to shape, transform, and personalize the way one dresses. Moving fluidly between everyday life and fantasy, sportswear and couture, and the past and the future, Alice + Olivia’s “Welcome to Wonderland” proposed a wardrobe expanded by the possibilities of imagination.
