Dior and A24 Announce Two-Year Partnership Spanning Film, Theatre and Live Events

On September 10, Dior and A24 announced a two-year creative partnership encompassing film, theatre and live events.

Extending beyond the framework of a conventional sponsorship, the collaboration will bring together artists and creators working across film, fashion, theatre and the wider creative community. Through a curated program of projects both on and beyond the screen, the two companies aim to support voices ranging from established talent to emerging creatives while fostering new connections between artists and audiences.

A New Chapter at the Cherry Lane Theatre

At the center of the partnership is New York’s Cherry Lane Theatre, where Dior will serve as the premier partner. Located in Greenwich Village, the historic Off-Broadway venue has long provided a stage for experimental works, emerging performers and new approaches to storytelling.

The theatre reopened under A24 in September 2025 following an extensive renovation. Dior and A24 will formally launch their collaboration with an event marking the first anniversary of that reopening.

The evening will celebrate the theatre’s history through Both Ends, a one-night-only performance by artist Justin Vivian Bond. Inspired by poet and playwright Edna St. Vincent Millay, one of the figures associated with the theatre’s founding, the production is directed and produced by Zack Winokur.

Jonathan Anderson Creates a Costume for Both Ends

Dior Creative Director Jonathan Anderson has created a special costume for the performance, while Bond will also wear an archival design by French couturier Paul Poiret.

The choice establishes a layered connection between fashion, theatre and literary history. Millay herself wore Poiret’s work, while the designer also served as a source of inspiration for Anderson’s Dior Winter 2026 collection. Bringing the archival creation onto the Cherry Lane stage allows these histories to converge through a contemporary live performance.

The commission also reflects Anderson’s continuing interest in the dialogue between fashion and cinema—and, more broadly, in the ways clothing can participate in storytelling. Rather than existing solely as an object of display, fashion becomes part of the performance’s narrative and cultural memory.

Supporting Emerging Artists and Students

Beyond the opening event, Dior and A24 will develop a broader series of programs intended to connect artists with audiences across disciplines. The partnership will amplify both recognized talent and emerging creators, creating opportunities for work that crosses the boundaries between film, theatre, fashion and live experience.

The initiative will also extend to students. As part of their shared commitment to the next generation of artists, Dior and A24 plan to invest in opportunities that introduce young people to both the creative and practical sides of filmmaking and theatre production.

For Dior, the partnership builds upon the house’s longstanding relationship with cinema. For A24, whose approach to filmmaking and storytelling has helped shape contemporary visual culture, it further expands the company’s presence in live performance.
