A Living Space Shaped by New York

Reflecting on the opening, Remo Ruffini, Executive Chairman of Moncler S.p.A., said:

“Moncler Fifth Avenue is a brand statement on one of the most iconic addresses in the world. We conceived it as a living space. A place shaped by the ideas, culture, and spirit of the city, while remaining true to the brand’s DNA.

Here, Moncler meets New York’s energy. It meets the communities and the people who make this city so unique. That is the true meaning of this project. It is not simply the opening of Moncler’s largest flagship store in the world, it’s also about being part of the life of the people in this city, those who live it, those who pass through it, those who come to be inspired by it.”

Conceived as more than a conventional retail environment, the flagship is designed as a destination for community, discovery, and cultural exchange. A monthly calendar of interactive experiences will be complemented by Fifth Avenue-exclusive products, services, and activations, allowing the space to evolve continually alongside the city.

The ground floor houses the latest men’s, women’s, and childrenswear from the Moncler Collection, alongside designer co-creations developed through the Moncler Genius platform and the brand’s latest footwear.

The second floor is devoted entirely to Moncler Grenoble, the brand’s mountain and outdoor dimension. The offering spans high-performance skiwear and goggles, après-ski pieces, and lightweight layering systems engineered for hiking and trekking—together forming a year-round wardrobe for life in the mountains.

A curated selection from Moncler’s partner brands is also available, including Moncler Grenoble interpretations of Stöckli skis and POC helmets, as well as WHITESPACE × Moncler Grenoble snowboards created with brand ambassador and champion snowboarder Shaun White.

Alpine Heritage Reimagined Through New York Architecture

The flagship represents the culmination of more than two decades of collaboration between Moncler and French design studio Gilles & Boissier.

Soaring ceilings rising more than eight meters, sculptural columns, arches, and extensive use of stone connect the brand’s mountain heritage with the verticality of New York’s skyline. A checkerboard floor alternates between polished and raw finishes, while monumental textured-glass displays evoke frozen waterfalls. Together, these elements establish a dialogue between nature and the metropolis, refinement and raw materiality.

At the center of the space is a freestanding “curiosity cabin,” conceived to house a changing program of seasonal installations. Artworks and multimedia pieces appear throughout the store, creating an experience that recalls the atmosphere of a contemporary gallery.

Among the most striking commissions is a sculptural stone installation by Ugo Rondinone. Rising through the space with a distinctly mountainous presence, the work visually connects the two floors while emphasizing the flagship’s dramatic scale. Works by Jean-Guillaume Mathiaut, Paul Bik, and Arno Declercq further contribute to its layered cultural narrative.

The Second LoveFrom, Moncler Collection Arrives First on Fifth Avenue

The opening also brings exclusive early access to the second LoveFrom, Moncler collection, created with the LoveFrom collective led by designer Jony Ive.

At the center of the collection is the Moncore, a down-filled jacket that forms the foundation of a modular outerwear system. Three interchangeable outer layers—a field jacket, parka, and poncho—can be attached using the magnetic Duo Button, which secures each layer with a distinctive click.

Every outer shell is finished with LoveFrom’s signature Montgomery Bear patch. Crafted from premium recycled nylon, the pieces undergo a taslanized treatment that gives the fabric a soft, matte finish.

Exclusive to Moncler Fifth Avenue are six limited-edition patches inspired by New York: a yellow taxi, an apple, a guitar case, a drum set, a bear paw print, and a vinyl record. Until October 1, clients can personalize their garments by selecting up to four patches.

The Fall/Winter 2026 collection will be available first at Moncler Fifth Avenue before launching at selected Moncler boutiques and on Moncler.com on October 1.

Moncler to Measure Introduces a New Level of Personalization

The flagship opening also marks the debut of Moncler to Measure, an exclusive made-to-order atelier dedicated to exceptional fabrics and personalized craftsmanship.

The service begins with four signature outerwear silhouettes—two for women and two for men. Clients can choose from materials including cashmere flannel, silk, leather, suede, shearling, and shaggy fil coupé, before selecting finishes, embellishments, and other design details.

Options include pinstripe metal studs, hand-embroidered check motifs, crystals, three-dimensional laser-cut florals, and intricate beadwork. Three approaches to the logo are available: the signature Moncler felt emblem, a tonal outline without lettering, or a completely logo-free finish.

Clients can also choose between two sleeve lengths and add a leather interior tag debossed with their name, bringing a discreetly personal dimension to each piece.

Produced in limited quantities, Moncler to Measure will initially be available exclusively at the Fifth Avenue flagship. The service will subsequently launch at the Moncler Champs-Élysées boutique in Paris on September 15. Connecting the Physical and Digital Flagship Through AI

Moncler has also introduced 5th Ave on the Go, a dedicated digital destination on Moncler.com that extends the flagship experience beyond the physical store.

Alongside information on exclusive product launches and services such as Moncler to Measure, the platform introduces two AI-powered experiences: the Outerwear Guide and the Virtual Dressing Room.

Launching first in the United States, the Outerwear Guide asks users up to three questions before presenting a curated selection of as many as 12 styles tailored to their needs. Intelligent side-by-side comparisons and editorial information covering fit, warmth, materials, craftsmanship, and color are designed to help clients identify the piece best suited to their lifestyle.

Scheduled to debut in the United States later in 2026, the Virtual Dressing Room will combine facial scans with precise body measurements to create personalized digital avatars. Garments can then be mapped onto each avatar, allowing users to compare sizes and assess how a piece fits across the chest, shoulders, waist, and sleeves. A fully interactive 360-degree view will offer an additional perspective before purchase.

Bringing together monumental architecture, exclusive products, made-to-order craftsmanship, and AI-powered client services, Moncler Fifth Avenue moves beyond the traditional idea of a flagship. It translates the house’s alpine heritage into a distinctly New York setting while positioning the physical store as a space for culture, experience, and continued discovery.
