Italian luxury house Ferragamo has unveiled its Fall-Winter 2026 campaign, celebrating the enduring appeal of footwear through a surrealist perspective. Drawing on imagery from the house’s archives, the campaign revisits a recurring motif of celebrated actresses and cinematic stars surrounded by an abundance of shoes.

Photographed by Johnny Dufort, the campaign reframes this historic visual language through a contemporary lens, creating a world where reality and fantasy converge.

Anok Yai Takes Her Place on a Throne of Shoes

At the heart of the campaign is a 1994 sculpture by contemporary artist Willie Cole. Constructed from shoes, the work serves as a throne for Anok Yai, transforming an everyday object into something unexpected and dreamlike.

Reflecting on the relationship between Cole’s work and his own creative direction, Ferragamo Creative Director Maximilian Davis said: “Willie takes everyday objects: objects that you feel connected to, that you can relate to, and distorts them. The chair feels very surreal, but immediate – and, with my recent collections referencing Surrealism and Dadaism, the collaboration felt right.”

Alongside Yai, the campaign stars Vittoria Ceretti, Thibaud Charon, Nina Chang and Johnny Huang.

Archival Designs Reimagined With a Sharper, More Graphic Sensibility

The season’s footwear revisits historic Ferragamo silhouettes and innovations, presenting them through a refined contemporary vocabulary.

A sleek, graphic stiletto pays homage to a style first created by Salvatore Ferragamo in 1954. The Opanka features an architectural shell sole that evolves a pioneering innovation developed in 1959, while the house’s signature Varina is reinterpreted in a quilted finish.

Davis reflected on the qualities that have made Ferragamo shoes enduring objects of desire:

“So many things make a Ferragamo shoe an object of desire: the construction; the wearability; the innovation of the design. And since I’ve been at the house, it’s been about refining the details to make them feel more sharp, more graphic; to take those core codes of craft and construction and translate them for today.”

In menswear, new formal classics draw inspiration from the craftsmanship that remains central to the house, bringing traditional construction together with a modern sensibility.

The New Ferragamo Cara and a Horizontal Reinterpretation of the Hug

The campaign also introduces the Ferragamo Cara bag. Crafted from supple calf leather, the design combines a graceful silhouette with an accordion construction, uniting form and function. Statement Gancini hardware completes the piece.

Elsewhere, the house’s signature Hug bag appears in a re-proportioned East-West silhouette, translating Ferragamo’s established codes into a horizontal form. For men, a new messenger bag balances urban functionality with elegant refinement.

By positioning shoes as more than elements of dress, Ferragamo presents them as objects shaped by craftsmanship, innovation and fantasy. Bringing historic house codes into dialogue with contemporary art, the campaign offers a renewed expression of the heritage at the heart of Ferragamo.
