French luxury group Kering has announced the appointment of Sabina Belli as President of Kering Italia, effective September 15, 2026. Based in Milan, Belli will report directly to Kering CEO Luca de Meo.

The appointment comes as Kering moves to reinforce its long-term presence in Italy, a critical market for the Group and a cornerstone of its manufacturing and craftsmanship ecosystem.

  • Kering has named Sabina Belli President of Kering Italia, effective September 15, based in Milan and reporting directly to CEO Luca de Meo.
  • The move reinforces the Group’s long-term presence in Italy, home to Houses including Gucci and Bottega Veneta and central to its manufacturing and craftsmanship base.
  • Belli will continue to oversee Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, preserving Italian savoir-faire and developing the next generation of manufacturing talent.
  • Italy accounts for more than a quarter of Kering’s worldwide workforce and supports thousands of indirect jobs through its manufacturing and logistics network.

Strengthening Kering’s Ties to Italy’s Luxury Ecosystem

In her new role, Belli will represent Kering in Italy and strengthen the Group’s dialogue with public institutions, luxury industry associations and key stakeholders.

She will also continue to oversee Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, the Group’s initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting Italian craftsmanship while supporting the next generation of manufacturing talent. Her responsibilities will extend to initiatives designed to advance industrial excellence, innovation and sustainability across the luxury value chain while preserving Italy’s distinctive artisanal savoir-faire.

Italy plays a central role in Kering’s global operations, with more than a quarter of the Group’s worldwide workforce based in the country. Its manufacturing and logistics network also supports thousands of indirect jobs.

Several of Kering’s Houses and businesses have a significant presence in Italy, including Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Brioni, Pomellato, DoDo, Ginori 1735 and Kering Eyewear. The country is also home to product development centers, manufacturing facilities and logistics operations across the Group.

Working across Kering’s Houses and corporate functions, Belli will help coordinate strategic initiatives aimed at reinforcing the Group’s long-term presence in Italy. She will also support public-private partnerships intended to enhance the competitiveness, attractiveness and international influence of the country’s luxury manufacturing ecosystem.

Commenting on the appointment, Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering, said: “Italy occupies a unique place in Kering’s history, identity and future. Its creativity, craftsmanship and industrial excellence are at the heart of our Houses and the long-term vitality of the luxury industry. Sabina brings a deep understanding of the Italian luxury ecosystem and a strong ability to build partnerships across business, education and public institutions. Together with our teams, she will strengthen Kering’s long-term commitment to Italy and help further amplify the country’s influence on the global luxury industry.”

From Pomellato CEO to a Broader Role Across Kering

Belli joined Kering in 2015 as CEO of the Pomellato Group. Before joining the Group, she built an international career spanning advertising, beauty and luxury, holding senior marketing and management positions at WPP, L’Oréal Luxe and LVMH. Her career has also included roles across Christian Dior Parfums, Moët Hennessy, Veuve Clicquot and Bulgari.

Since April 2026, Belli has led Kering Accademia per le Eccellenze, focusing on the preservation of Italian craftsmanship and savoir-faire as well as the development of a new generation of manufacturing talent. In 2017, she launched Pomellato for Women, a global platform focused on gender equality and women’s empowerment. Belli also serves on the board of the Kering Foundation and holds vice-presidential responsibilities at Altagamma covering the jewelry sector and manufacturing talent.

The appointment expands Belli’s responsibilities from the leadership of an individual luxury House to a broader role connecting Kering with Italy’s luxury and manufacturing ecosystem. With a remit spanning craftsmanship, talent development, institutional relations and industrial initiatives, her new position underscores the strategic importance of Italy to Kering’s long-term operations.
