Levi’s® x sacai Unveil Third Collaboration, Reshaping Denim Classics

American denim label Levi’s® and Japanese fashion label sacai have unveiled their third collaboration.

The 12-piece collection spans men’s and women’s, and goes on sale in Japan on October 1, 2026. At its center are two jacket styles and two pant styles, each offered in rigid indigo and washed indigo.

Contrasting Materials and Volume in the Jackets

Once again, sacai creative director Chitose Abe has turned to denim shapes everyone already knows. Carrying over the yarns and fabrics used in their previous collaborations, the two brands pushed the silhouettes further. It is precisely that continuity of material that makes the shifts in form stand out.

The Sherpa Jacket builds on selvedge denim with pocket details in faux sherpa and real leather. The men’s and women’s versions share a common design, with side-seam pockets added to the men’s. The collar and pocket materials create a clear contrast against the denim, and the same style reads differently depending on the indigo finish.

The Blouson Jacket, by contrast, places sacai’s signature pockets on the sleeves. Elastic at the cuffs and hem pulls a generous body into a three-dimensional shape, and the women’s version adds side-seam slits. Where the Sherpa Jacket foregrounds the presence of contrasting materials, this one reshapes the outline of denim itself.

Pockets and Belts Reshape the Pants

The Belted Wide Pants are a loose mid-rise cut in selvedge indigo fabric, defined by sacai’s custom buttons on the belt loops and belt details carried over from previous collections. The Belted Flare Pants take a standard-rise flare silhouette, layering welt pockets over the existing back pockets for a total of seven pockets.

The jackets and pants come in corresponding washes so they can be worn as sets. Wide against flare, one jacket ornamental and the other structural — the combinations let the silhouette read differently while the denim keeps its unity.

Release and Pricing in Japan

The collection launches in Japan on October 1. Select Levi’s stores will accept entries for in-store purchase rights from 0:00 to 23:59 on October 1, while the official online store runs a purchase lottery from 11:00 on October 1 to 11:00 on October 2. Entry lotteries for sacai’s directly operated stores open at 19:00 on September 17, and the sacai official online store runs its purchase lottery from 15:00 on September 25 to 17:59 on September 28.

Prices include the Sherpa Jacket at ¥132,000 and the Blouson Jacket at ¥99,000. The unisex Belted Wide Pants and Belted Flare Pants are each priced at ¥66,000.
