Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet unveiled the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph “Serena Williams” Limited Edition on September 15, 2026. Created in collaboration with professional tennis player, entrepreneur and producer Serena Williams, the timepiece is limited to 500 pieces worldwide.

More than a signature watch, the model marks a new chapter in a relationship spanning over a decade. Williams’ athletic power and personal sensibility are translated through the materials, colors and technical details of the watch, creating an object that reflects the many dimensions of her identity.

The 38 mm case, octagonal bezel, crown and integrated bracelet are crafted from white ceramic. Although highly resistant to scratches, ceramic is exceptionally difficult to machine because of its hardness, demanding precision and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

Each component is meticulously hand-finished with alternating satin-brushed surfaces and polished chamfers. The measured play of light accentuates the architectural lines that have long defined the Royal Oak, while the restrained white palette brings the model’s construction and finishing into sharper focus.

At its center is a pink-tinted mother-of-pearl dial. Its soft iridescence shifts with the light, introducing an organic quality to the clear geometry of the white ceramic exterior.

The dial is completed with luminescent white-gold hands and applied hour markers. Rhodium-toned rings encircle the chronograph counters, adding definition, visual depth and legibility to the pale pink composition.

Inside the New-Generation Calibre 6401

The watch is powered by Calibre 6401, a new-generation integrated selfwinding chronograph movement developed entirely in-house by Audemars Piguet.

Its integrated column-wheel mechanism incorporates a patented vertical-clutch system that has been simplified to reduce the number of components, enabling smoother chronograph activation and enhanced reliability.

The redesigned display places the hour counter at 3 o’clock and the minute counter at 9 o’clock, while an instant-jump date window sits between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Visible through the sapphire caseback are a 22-carat pink-gold oscillating weight and an array of Haute Horlogerie finishes, including Côtes de Genève, circular graining, polishing and satin brushing. The titanium frame surrounding the caseback is engraved with the words “Limited Edition.”

Alongside the integrated white ceramic bracelet, the watch is supplied with an interchangeable pink rubber strap. The alternative configuration shifts its character from clean and architectural to more vivid and overtly sportive.
