- e.l.f. Beauty raised its fiscal 2027 net sales growth outlook from 12–14% to 18–20%
More Than Seven Years of Continuous Growth
Net sales for the three months ended June 30, 2026, rose from $353.7 million in the prior-year period to $479.4 million. The company attributed the increase to strong performance across both retail and e-commerce channels in the US and international markets.
The quarter extended e.l.f. Beauty’s growth streak to 30 consecutive quarters, spanning more than seven years. Its expanding brand portfolio and distribution network across multiple markets continued to support the company’s momentum.
Tarang Amin, chairman and chief executive officer of e.l.f. Beauty, said:
“I’m proud of the e.l.f. Beauty team for achieving another quarter of industry-leading results. In Q1, we delivered 36% net sales growth, marking our 30th consecutive quarter – over seven continuous years – of net sales growth. This consistent, category-leading growth is a testament to the strength of our team, strategy, and portfolio of brands. With the momentum we’re seeing, we’re raising our fiscal 2027 outlook to 18 to 20 percent net sales growth from 12 to 14 percent previously.”
Net Income Nearly Doubles
GAAP net income reached $66.6 million, nearly double the $33.3 million recorded in the same period a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share stood at $1.12, while adjusted net income totaled $104.6 million and adjusted diluted earnings per share reached $1.75.
Adjusted EBITDA increased 93% year over year to $168.2 million, representing 35% of net sales.
Gross margin expanded by approximately 1,400 basis points to 83%. About 1,050 basis points of that increase came from tariff refunds under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, while pricing benefits and lower year-over-year tariff rates accounted for most of the remaining improvement.
Selling, general and administrative expenses increased by $84.5 million to $280.3 million. The company attributed the rise primarily to higher marketing, merchandising and distribution costs, as well as increased compensation, benefits, depreciation and amortization expenses.
rhode Outperforms Acquisition Thresholds
The quarter also offered a new indication of rhode’s performance following its acquisition by e.l.f. Beauty.
The company recorded a $16.1 million fair-value adjustment related to contingent consideration after rhode’s revenue results exceeded the earnout thresholds established under the acquisition agreement.
While e.l.f. Beauty did not disclose rhode’s standalone revenue or its specific contribution to the group’s overall growth, the adjustment indicates that the brand is performing above the revenue benchmarks established at the time of the transaction.
Full-Year Sales Forecast Raised to as Much as $1.97 Billion
Following the strong first-quarter performance, e.l.f. Beauty raised its fiscal 2027 net sales growth outlook from 12–14% to 18–20%.
The company now expects full-year net sales of between $1.938 billion and $1.968 billion, up from its previous forecast of $1.835 billion to $1.865 billion.
Its adjusted EBITDA forecast was also raised to between $401 million and $407 million, compared with the previous range of $379 million to $385 million. Adjusted net income is expected to reach between $212 million and $215 million, while adjusted diluted earnings per share are projected at $3.50 to $3.55.
With its core business continuing to generate strong sales and recently acquired brands such as rhode broadening its portfolio, e.l.f. Beauty enters the remainder of fiscal 2027 expecting to maintain double-digit growth.
